Anime Idea: The Periodic Table (very stupid)
Click to go to bottom
Now that we have animes about countries as people and cells as people, I have decided to come up with my own. The Periodic Table: The Anime Each character Is a different element Examples Mercury-Chan: Yandere, because mercury exposure causes brain issues Sulfur-Kun: Smelly weirdo that nobody likes The teachers could be the noble gases Student council could be the halogens Help me come up with some more (I understand that this is a very stupid idea. Feel free to criticize.)
I'm not even gonna criticize it, I would watch that. But that also has me thinking... what about Chinese Zodiac or Astrology-based characters? Or other groups like these? HmMmMmMmM?
Chinese Zodiac as an anime? Pretty sure that's already been done.
I swear, if there's a bully duo made up of Nobelium and Uranium, I quit. On a more serious note, I'd actually watch that. Chlorine-senpai, one of the halogens, could also be the swim team's star player, seeing as how it's often used in pools. Oxygen-san could be the new student/protagonist that seems quite average at first (a standard for anime protags unless they have demon power), but... ahem Proceeds to breathe new life into the school and give it spirit.

Who needs a Periodic Table themed anime when the only deck I use in my favorite card game is already an archetype that personifies the elements as cute girls. Take a shot every time I beat someone with a combo attack using Sodium and Chlorine.
this is honestly a sick idea I'm not even gonna criticize it, I would watch that. But that also has me thinking... what about Chinese Zodiac or Astrology-based characters? Or other groups like these? HmMmMmMmM?and yeah, zodiac has been done many times, for an example off the top of my head, Etotama, where the zodiacs battle each other in chibi form, and the main character is a cat who didn't qualify as a zodiac. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/0d/c1/e7/0dc1e704a68bdce2172a0f87708fb6e9.png it's actually good

The protag could be Carbon. Plain on the outside, but a (metaphorical) diamond on the inside. Hydrogen would be the friends-with-everyone type. Iodine would be the school nurse.

The protag could be Carbon. Plain on the outside, but a diamond on the inside. Alright, good point. I guess I overthought the oxygen point. Also, Helium as the supporting cast. He seems rather tame and reserved at first, recovering from a damaged inflated ego, but he's there to keep things cool and even make people laugh once in a while with his silly voice. Neon is the most charismatic of the noble gases, having a bright and flashy personality.

Have the elites of the the Nobel Gases and the radioactive elements the villains. Also have the compounds be fusions. Or something. I'd still watch it.

so pretty much, rather than actually taking from the elements they are, their personalities are just puns What did you expect from me? Okay, that's true for the Neon, but there's a little more for the Helium than you thought. When I said he was tame and reserved, I tried to imply the fact that it was tasteless, monotomic and had one of the lowest burning and freezing points. I guess I didn't really think the phrasing through on that part, but still. And when I said he keeps things cool, I was referring to the fact that helium cane be used for cooling.

@elmco A little of both. They do inherit some of the properties of their element. Like Helium can float if they held their breath, or Chlorine can purify water via touch.
carbon is the slut of the elements
People are willing to fuck everything.

People are willing to fuck everything. They might think twice about Mercury-Chan.
People are willing to fuck everything. Inb4 there's an anime where the characters are the months of the year
What if there was an anime but all the characters are things you could find at Home Depot
You mean Chairem Anime? BTW Lamp-san x TV-san is best ship
If your waifu isn’t Sink Faucet-Chan GTFO
You mean Chairem Anime? BTW Lamp-san x TV-san is best shipnah, the OTP Refrigerator-senpai x Bed-kun or even better, chair twincest @elmco A little of both. Bed-kun is obviously best boi, he's so calm and soft, and always there when you're drowsy.

Back at it again with more characters Titanium: The douchey tough guy of the school. Silver and Gold: Wealthy twin sisters. Silver often feels inferior to Gold. Iron: Head of the Martial Arts club. Platinum: Head of the Student Council. Very strict and unfeeling. Americium: Foreign transfer student. Has not yet adapted to life in Japan.
The idea of this good, but who‘s going to be the guy and the girl?

The guy will be Carbon-kun, and the girl is TBD at the moment.
